Darwin and the Voyage of the Beagle

As part of the Year of Science celebrations at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, Brian Ellis of Fox Tales International, based in Illinois, will give a presentation in the auditorium at Corbett Center on November 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM .  He will appear as Charles Darwin and will bring specimens to show how Darwin arrived at his conclusions on Natural Selection. Ellis started portraying Darwin at the Field Museum in Chicago and was the guest speaker at the annual meeting of the New Mexico Academy of Sciences last year. 

The presentation is free and is open to the general public. 

It will take place just two weeks before the 150th anniversary of the publication of the 'Origin of Species' on November 24, 1859. Special appreciation  to the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at NMSU for providing the funding for this event..
